What to Expect During Your CT Scan
Arrival & Check-in
Arrive 15 minutes early for registration. Bring your referral, Medicare card, and complete any required forms.
Preparation
You may need to change into a hospital gown and remove metal objects. Some scans require contrast dye.
The Scan
You'll lie on the CT table which moves through the scanner. The scan is painless and takes 5-30 minutes depending on the area being examined.
Results
Our expert radiologists analyze your images. Results are typically available the same day for urgent cases, or within 24-48 hours for routine scans.
Contrast Enhanced CT Scans
What is Contrast?
Contrast dye is a special substance that helps highlight certain areas of your body on the CT images. It can be given by mouth (oral contrast) or through an IV (intravenous contrast).
Benefits of Contrast
- Enhanced visualization of blood vessels
- Better organ definition
- Improved tumor detection
- Assessment of blood flow
Preparation for Contrast CT
- Inform us of any allergies
- Let us know about kidney problems
- List all medications you're taking
- Fast for 4 hours before scan (if required)
- Drink plenty of water after the scan
Our Advanced CT Technology
TrueFidelity™ DLIR
Deep Learning Image Reconstruction delivers natural-looking CT images with reduced noise and improved low-contrast detectability while supporting low-dose protocols.
Low-Dose Protocols
Advanced dose reduction techniques provide up to 50% less radiation exposure compared to traditional CT scans without compromising image quality.
3D Reconstruction
Sophisticated post-processing creates detailed 3D images and multiplanar reconstructions for comprehensive diagnosis.
