1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website or using the services of Astro Medical Imaging ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.
2. Scope of Services
Astro Medical Imaging provides diagnostic medical imaging services, including but not limited to:
- Computed Tomography (CT) scans
- X-ray imaging
- Ultrasound examinations
- Coronary Calcium Scoring
- National Lung Cancer Screening
Important: We are not an emergency service. If you require urgent medical attention, call 000 or go to the nearest emergency department.
Our role is to perform and interpret imaging studies to assist your referring healthcare provider. We do not provide direct medical treatment or ongoing care, and we do not replace your relationship with your treating doctor. Your referring provider is responsible for your overall diagnosis, treatment decisions, and medical management.
3. Appointments and Scheduling
- Booking: Appointments may be scheduled online, by phone, or through your referring healthcare provider.
- Confirmation: All appointments require confirmation and are subject to availability.
- Cancellation: Please provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations. A late cancellation or non-attendance fee may apply.
- Late Arrivals: Patients arriving more than 15 minutes late may be required to reschedule.
4. Patient Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete medical history and information
- Follow all pre-examination instructions provided by our staff
- Inform us of any allergies, medications, or medical conditions
- Notify us of pregnancy or potential pregnancy before any examination
- Arrive on time for scheduled appointments
- Pay all applicable fees in accordance with our billing policies
5. Fees and Payment
Medicare and Insurance: We accept Medicare and most private health insurance plans. Bulk billing may be available for eligible patients. You are responsible for any gap payments or services not covered by insurance.
Payment Terms: Payment is due at the time of service unless prior arrangements are made. We accept cash, credit cards, and EFTPOS.
Overdue Accounts: Outstanding accounts may be referred to a collection agency, and additional recovery costs may apply.
6. Medical Records and Reports
- Imaging results and reports are sent directly to your referring healthcare provider.
- You may request copies of your medical records with valid identification.
- Records are retained in accordance with Australian healthcare regulations.
- Reports are generally available within 24–48 hours, but this timeframe is not guaranteed.
7. Website Use and Intellectual Property
Permitted Use
Our website is provided for informational purposes and appointment scheduling only.
Prohibited Use
You must not:
- Use the website for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
- Interfere with website functionality
- Use automated systems to access the website
Intellectual Property
All content, logos, and materials on the website are owned by Astro Medical Imaging and may not be reproduced, copied, or distributed without written permission.
Content Accuracy

10. Quality Assurance

- Regular equipment calibration and maintenance
- Qualified and certified radiologic technologists
- Board-certified radiologists interpreting all studies

11. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for any delay or failure to perform our obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, power outages, pandemics, industrial disputes, or government restrictions.

13. Governing Law
